So the upcoming dashboard update is all about new technology learning about me?
Okay.
My Xbox has to churn for 15+ seconds every time I come back to the dashboard while it struggles to remember whether or not it has a hard drive. After that mystery is solved, it moves on to tough, but important questions like “Are there games on my hard drive?” which usually grants me another 30+ seconds of dead air. I turn on my PS3 and all of my content is there. Instantly.
Maybe someone should look into THAT.
Did you see the Battlefield 3 Caspian Border trailer that came out of Gamescom? Modern-day military shooters usually don’t even register on my internal hypeometer anymore, but this?! This makes me want to open up the top of my PC case and start shoveling money into it until my Battlefield 3 looks as good as the one in the trailer.
I've played through the Toy Soldiers: Cold War demo twice now, trying to stave off its inevitable purchase. The original Toy Soldiers did absolutely nothing for me, and as such, Cold War wasn't a game I was ever planning on buying. But here's the thing: IT'S REALLY GOOD. It tickles the part of my brain that still lives in the 1980's enough to circumvent the other part of my brain that doesn't like tower defense games. It also tickles the part of my brain that enjoys well-made video games that are fun to play. You should really give it a try.

welcome to the download generation. I hope you all are happy now
SOMEONE gets it finally… seriously, why does everything i do on my 360 have to take forever! (like accessing my videos… it has to connect to zune video marketplace and THEN show my videos like a minute later… IF there isnt a Zune Update…
yeah whats up with the xbox not having a clue whats on its HD, i can understand usb drives and stuff but its own hard drive shouldnt take like a minute to read
I’ll be at peace with the download generation if the AAA titles become cheaper as a result of them not being physical copies. Hard to justify the $60 cost when you take away the entire process of bringing physical copies of games to market. Do I expect that to happen? Hardly, but I can hope, can’t I?
You think that’s bad? You should see what happens when you ask it to *google* Playstation!
